The Street Smart team has been named the winner of the 2010 Gold Star Safety Award by the United Safety Council. Florida SAFE, Inc. is a nonprofit organization and the presenters of the Street Smart program. The Street Smart program takes their audience into the real-life drama experienced by firefighter/paramedics as they work to save the lives of individuals who have made poor choices when it comes to drinking or using drugs and the non-compliance of seat belts. On May 18, 2003 Nancy Stratton and Lou Raniszewski were awarded the New Jersey State EMS Public Education Award. Nancy and Lou received the award in East Windsor, N.J at a banquet held to honor achievements in Emergency Medical Services.

Orlando Chapter of SAFE recognized by the Seminole County Public Schools Dividends Office |

Today, May 14, 2002, the Orlando Chapter of SAFE was recognized by the Seminole County Public Schools Dividends Office for being in the top 3 Community Resource Volunteer Programs for the 2001-2002 school year. S.A.F.E.'s Assistant Director, Joseph McCluan, attended a luncheon today and was presented with a plaque from the Seminole County School Board to recognize the Orlando Chapter of SAFE's volunteer work. The Dividends Recognition rewards Dividend school volunteers who have donated over 250 hours of their time in any one school year or have accumulated 1,000 hours time to schools. |
